Life Means Living, Not Just Existing

This post is my declaration of living. I have decided to actually describe what I mean and what I want to do because recently I've been surrounded with people who just don't care about life anymore, and think that I have a problem because I do. This isn't meant to be preachy or tell you how to live your life, but more like an observation on some other people and on myself and what I really believe makes life worth living. You don't necessarily have to agree, but since you are in fact reading the website of my name, it would seem like you have some interest in my opinions.

The way some people live seems as if they try to make life not suck so bad so that they can just get through it with as little trouble as possible and get it over with. But, for some reason, for my entire life, the world has been telling me, "You can make a difference; you can change the world." Maybe it's just Mister Rogers' and Reading Rainbow's fault for filling me with these idealistic fallacies, but in the end, I got to believing it. I have grown up not just thinking, but knowing that I am important and that I will have an impact on the world we live in.

That would seem to put me at odds with the people who just want it to be done and over with. Where they want to just get through it, I want to enjoy every bit of it and make it worth as much as I possibly can, with every second and every breath I have. I don't want to be, I want to be something that matters. I am not willing to simply give up on my dreams and my life in order to fit into what society decides should be the meaning of my life.

I liked this post. Why waste your life complaining and being miserable? Have some fun... we're all young ya know? We can complain when we're 80 and unable to control our bowels/drool. Be young and get laid I always say

If you're going to put in the effort to make life suck less, you might as well take the extra half of step and try to do something good with that life while youre at it...
